FederlegnoArredo is the Italian Federation of Woodworking and furniture industries. Founded in 1945, it associates almost 2300 enterprises from the first importers of raw materials (wood) to semifinished products (panels) the finished design products (wooden construction products, interior finishings, furniture, office furniture, lightning equipment), ranging from SMEs to industry leaders, and includes 11 sectorial associations, 3 affiliated associations and a Young Entrepreneurs Group.

Federlegno wants to participate in the development process of Italian society, contributing to the establishment of an innovative, internationalized, sustainable entrepreneurial system, capable of promoting the economic, social, civil and cultural growth of the country.

It represents the companies of the Wood-Furniture sector, accompanying them in their entrepreneurial activity, offering different services and representing them in the relationship with the policy makers.

FederlegnoArredo offers different services: activity of institutional representation, support in internationalization and export promotion; access to qualified economic data about our sector; consultancy services regarding different themes; access to up-skilling education and training for associate companies’ employees.

Through its affiliate society (FederlegnoArredo Eventi SPA) it also organizes the biggest international fair for the furniture sector, the Salone Internazionale del Mobile.

Together with Aslam (Association of VET School in the Milan Area) FederlegnoArredo has established in 2013 the “Polo Formativo Legno-Arredo, Fondazione Rosario Messina” a VET school which caters for two different curricula: 1- Machine operator (VET course) 2 – Export Manager (Higher education curriculum).
